WHO WE ARE
We are a tightly woven art collective assembled by Veteran tattooer Jake Steele (Iamjakesteele.com) We specialize in fine art illustration to create custom color and grayscale shading, and aim to empower our clients’ individuality through exceptional creativity, craftsmanship, hygiene, and support.
Originally created and operated in South Florida, by Jake and his Fiancée Nichole, Steel City Tattoo Shop has been through many phases of evolution since flag-shipped in 2020. Due to the financial crisis and uncertainty surrounding the markets put an enormous pressure on our operations and ultimately crushed our first attempt at opening a shop.
After a devastating loss and a ruined investment, Jake made a left turn and pursued a private studio setting on the classy Atlantic Ave in Delray Beach, Florida for three years following the loss of his business.
After a decision to return to his hometown in Belle Vernon, PA in 2023, Jake began to transition his operations to the nearby town of Monessen, PA and officially Launched Steel City Tattoo Shop and has been through many transitions in the first year of opening, but contends for top tier success in the following years to come.
Bringing to the team our passionate artists Sarah Altamare, and Cameron Scaccia from Belle Vernon, PA along with our shop apprentice Yung Jake, and Shop Manager Alexis strive to bring our family run business much prosperity and success to everyone involved.
